Our Internal Policy
ITCM brokers share a teamwork spirit and a common business vision, helping each other and sharing views and skills in any given daily business activity in order to maximise our service to our clientele. Besides, as our brokers fully comprehend the essence of teamwork, they are quite capable and have already undertaken multifaceted tasks and resolve complex issues, thus maximizing our firm’s efficiency; our main goal is to keep this spirit alive and not only to be effective but also to be efficient.

Within our firm the notion of "unhealthy" competition is nonexistent, as it is not compatible with our work views and ethics. We believe that the only way to identify the variables and imponderable factors in an equation and to minimize exposure as much as possible is to be honest with each other and to work as a united team, sharing ideas and solutions.

Every broker at ITCM embraces the corporate visions and goals, and fully comprehends that our firm -and consequently our brokers- do not act as sales managers but rather as consultants for a complex and challenging industry. We consider ourselves as problem solvers whose main goal is to assist our clients in achieving their business goals.

We, however, remain result-oriented, placing in priority the best interests of our clients. Each and every one of our clients is important to us, as our main objective is to build long term business relationships with them; above and beyond, we preserve our integrity and objectivity, remaining unbiased and not affiliated to any ship owning group.

Our Business Relationship / Ethics

Business ethics is a topic which has been receiving a lot of attention nowadays, considering that opinions and contemporary definitions may vary. We feel that our principles are the values which establish the ground rules for all our actions as members of the company.

Always keep in mind that our aim remains to safeguard our clients’ interests and to assist as far as possible in their journey towards their long term goals. We seek not to generate commissions but to establish long term business liaisons. We work hard to achieve responsible commercial success and not just commercial success and we do value the importance of trust, credibility and integrity to our growth as a business.

In this respect and considering the complexity of each project and the variety of issues involved in each ‘Shipping deal', we feel oblidged to explore as far as practically feasible, all aspects and to freely share related available information with our principals, in an effort to provide them with the tools necessary to facilitate their assessment and decisions.

Having an extensive knowledge of the business and keeping up-to-date with developments and global economic events, we will be there to suggest alternative investments when times require to do so.

Respect for other colleagues is considered vital for our industry. We shall be open and direct in our communications and will honor and value the contribution and the abilities of others.
